50th Anniversary of the STORIS, BRAMBLE & SPAR Northwest Passage – 36 minutes - Photos of our Reno celebration 9/2007 by Ken Fisher with special music from a 1990 Bicentennial Coast Guard CD.  One of the arrangements towards the end includes a special narration history of the Coast Guard from the beginning.  Very nice.  Dick Juge assembled this into a DVD.

CG Cutters Across the Continent – 28 minutes - Original movie by the Coast Guard possibly created in the late 1950s and to be used as a promo video. It is completely narrated with Coast Guard music in the background and a little history on the three vessels regarding their participation in this historic event.  Note: You can also go to http://cgvi.uscg.mil/media/main.php?g2_itemId=177113 if you'd prefer to download this as a free show direct from the Coast Guard's site.   However the DVD will give you the opportunity to view this show via your DVD player.

CG 50th Northwest Passage Reno DVD - Ice Wind and Sea  

– Beautifully prepared Coast Guard DVD presented to those participating in the September 4-6th, 2007 .  in the 50th Northwest Passage ceremony in Reno. This DVD also includes the CG Cutters Across the Continent show along with Commandant Thad Allen introducing the show.

Commemorative Northwest Passage – 2 hours and 15 Minutes – Menu so one can select the part of the iInterview Dr. Bill Thiesen, CG Historian did with LTCR Cornelius Farley, Clair Upton QM2, Dick Juge EM3 and SN Chuck Schmitzer – participants in the historic voyage. This DVD is Dick’s major effort and includes photos taken in 1957 while on this cruise by Dick and shipmates, Walt Shutty, Curt (Jonesy) Jones, Bernie Merrifield, Pete Sowell and others.

Coast Guard archives, friends and some of Dick’s for the years from the 1940s to rhe 2007 decommissioning.   There are several historical text files included and you’d need to pause the show at them.  There’s also some beautiful music included in this show that you will love.

1930-1950s  –- Photos from U. S. Coast Guard and Chuck Barrentine archives, Many from Alaska duty stations and the west coast area. Also some of the older Coast Guard aircraft as well as some salty songs sung courtesy of the www.ShiftySailors.net and retired Capt. Ken Bishop's choral group. Nice.
